Six Principles of SunDo Breathwork From a long lineage of ancient Taoist Masters, SunDo comes to us at a time in modern society when we could all use better breathing! Learn basic beginner breathwork and its six practice principles. SunDo Qi Exercise & Five Elements The five elements were originally arranged as a cosmological cycle. Practice SunDo Qi Exercises following this cycle and learn how they help us to have healthy emotions. Draw your own interpretation of the five elements and emotions as a mandala. Template provided. |

Understanding the Cosmology of COVID-19
With healing & illness prevention on everyone's mind these days, this special workshop with Taoist Master Hyunmoon Kim explores ideas from microbiology, spirituality, and wisdom traditions that explain why the COVID-19 virus has emerged during this time in human history. Master Kim asks, "There is a corona as the outermost part of the Sun’s atmosphere but the corona is usually hidden by the bright light of the Sun's surface. When this hidden part of the Sun is difficult to see without using special instruments, how can this be a spiritual-scopic view?"
Sundo Massage & Energy Healing
Practice SunDo Massage, which is similar to Thai Yoga Massage, while working with a partner. The massage session is followed by an "Attunement." This type of energy healing focuses on the chakras and glands to strengthen our endocrine and immune system.
Transcendental Meditation
As taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and practiced by the Beatles, Transcendental Meditation is a twice a day 20 minute practice meant to quiet the internal dialogue. Compared to SunDo meditation where breathing is the focus, TM uses a mantra chanted to oneself as a tool to deep relaxation, focusing more on quieting the mind.

Several precautionary measures will be in place this year at the 2020 Summer Retreat including:

- Quaratine tents for those in need
- First-aid area with daily temperature self-checking
- Limits of 10 people or less in practice spaces
- Staggered meal times 15 minutes apart
- Outdoor space for meals and workshops
- Servers for each meal to replace buffet set-up
- Compliance with current health and safety guidelines
- Hand sanitizing stations and extra masks
